We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our mission to transform student living: Webster University has officially named Housr its exclusive off-campus housing partner!Â
Through this groundbreaking partnership, we are empowering Webster students with a modern, seamless way to navigate off-campus housing, connect with their peer community, and engage with local businesses. Housr will be available as a free, all-in-one mobile app for students across Webster University’s Webster Groves, MO and San Antonio, TX campuses.
Students can effortlessly browse verified property listings, match with compatible roommates, coordinate convenient rideshares, and unlock exclusive discounts from local businesses. At the same time, Webster’s housing team gains access to a dedicated University Portal, equipping them with real-time analytics and insights to better understand student engagement and elevate off-campus housing support.
At Webster, off campus isn't the exception
Freshmen at the St. Louis campus have to live on campus for two years, with an exemption for students commuting from a parent's home inside a 35-mile radius.

But there are only around 850 on-campus beds, which means that while most freshmen and sophomores live on campus, fewer juniors, fewer seniors again, and a very few graduate students can be accommodated within the campus by design.
Most returning students at Webster will eventually reach the point where a private lease becomes the default, and traditionally, that's the exact moment the university loses sight of them.
This is exactly where Housr is able to come in and support the organization.
How Housr supports Webster’s students
In Missouri, verified property listings are curated into Housr’s mobile app from a network of operators and realtors across Webster Groves, Rock Hill and the wider St. Louis area.Â
This helps students find reliable landlords and off-campus housing in a modern way: where viewings can be booked in three taps on an Airbnb-style app, with no phone call or email exchanges required.Â
Once the student checks the property out and decides they want to live there, all they need to do is go back to the Housr app on their phone to submit their lease application; no PDFs or emails required again. They can plan their move once as soon as their application is approved, most likely making this the most stress-free rental booking process they’ve ever experienced.
Beyond housing searches, Housr delivers an elevated student lifestyle experience with built-in community and convenience features. Roomie takes the stress out of finding compatible housemates by facilitating seamless in-app roommate matching, replacing messy group chats. For commuting students, Housr’s integrated rideshare features offer a reliable, community-driven way to coordinate daily transit.Â
To top it off, students love Perks, an exclusive reward feature that connects them with tailored discounts and special offers from local St. Louis favorites and top national brands alike.
Bridging student living with powerful university insights

Housr’s University Portal gives the Webster housing team insights around:
Students’ housing status, showing who has secured a place, who is touring and who hasn't started yet
A live view of where students are living, with occupancy analytics
Engagement scores at for each enrolled student
Reported landlord issues and flagged problem properties
Optional into student-landlord conversations about maintenance issues and so-on
This allows housing teams to get unprecedented oversight on their students’ well-being and engagement levels, because it’s not just on-campus life that affects students’ university experience, it’s also what they do outside of it and how happy they are with their living situation.
"Where students live plays a vital role in shaping their overall college journey," said Michael Parnello, Chief Revenue Officer at Housr. "The Housr app enables universities to better support students beyond the classroom by connecting them with vetted housing options and local businesses. We take pride in building local connections that strengthen community engagement for both students and university leaders."
Housr is free for students and free for partner institutions. Listings stay current because we connect to the systems operators already run, like Yardi and Entrata, so nobody at Webster is maintaining a spreadsheet to manage student satisfaction and happiness.
What's next
Webster joins the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the University of Oklahoma on Housr’s roster of US institutions, with more campuses going live through the rest of 2026 and into 2027. We're also building toward the financial side of student living, which is where a lot of the real pressure sits.
If you own or manage property around Webster Groves, Rock Hill or the wider St. Louis metro, or you run a business Webster students should know about, Housr is the way in. And if you're at a university working out what your off-campus strategy should look like, get in touch.
