Getting to campus

The First Bus Unibus network is built around getting students up Claverton Down. The U1 runs from Bathwick Hill and the city centre to Arrivals Square roughly every five minutes for most of the day. The U3 links Widcombe and Oldfield Park to campus on its way through to Bath Spa University, and the U1's evening service extends out to Oldfield Park too, so there's rarely a long wait either way. Both drop you at the campus bus terminus on Convocation Avenue.

Prefer to walk or cycle? The university's own guidance puts the climb at 30 to 40 minutes from the city centre via North Road, Bathwick Hill or Widcombe Hill, and all three routes climb steadily the whole way. Anyone actually living on Bathwick Hill or in Widcombe starts partway up, so the walk from home is shorter than that. Think of it as the one bit of cardio you can't dodge.
