Popular student areas near the University of Reading

Whiteknights is the obvious one, right on the campus doorstep and ideal if you'd rather walk to lectures. Earley sits just beyond the Earley Gate entrance, quieter and full of proper houses for groups. The streets around Cemetery Junction run off London Road, close to the older campus and an easy route into town. For nights out and the train station, Reading town centre is hard to beat.

Getting to campus

From town, the white knight 20 runs to Whiteknights from Reading Station via Market Place, up to every 15 minutes and about ten minutes end to end. The claret 21 covers the same kind of route 24/7, so a late finish isn't a problem. The leopard 3, buzz 9 and ruby 10 all stop at Christchurch Green, a short walk from the centre of campus. From Earley and Whiteknights plenty of students simply walk or cycle, which is often faster than waiting for a bus.
