Getting around

Camden Town station is a genuine Northern line hub, serving both the Bank and Charing Cross branches, though its 1907 platforms are famously narrow, so expect a squeeze at rush hour. Euston is one stop away, with King's Cross St Pancras just one stop beyond that on the Bank branch. Camden Road station adds London Overground services on the Mildmay line, and Kentish Town gives you Thameslink into the City.

Euston, King's Cross, and St Pancras are all within a 20-minute walk if you'd rather skip the tube altogether. Buses 24 (Hampstead Heath to Pimlico) and 29 (Trafalgar Square to Wood Green) both run through Camden Town, on top of a dozen or so other daytime routes serving the high street.

Universities near Camden

UCL sits in Bloomsbury, within the same London Borough of Camden that gives the area its name, and it's a short hop from Camden Town: one stop on the Northern line to Euston or two to Warren Street, then a walk of a few minutes to Gower Street.
